The $800 billion dollar trucking industry is the backbone of America. It's facing a critical crossroads with challenges in providing skilled commercial drivers, creating an all-time high demand for skilled CDL Class A drivers.
When our family-owned trucking company began hiring drivers coming out of CDL school, we found there to be a gap in the information that was taught and the necessary skills to safely do the job. The only way to close this gap is to have experience behind the wheel.
To bring a solution to the problem, we developed the Behind the CDL Wheel Registered Apprentice Program (RAP).
This two part program offers Related Instruction and On-the-Job training. Both phases of this apprentice program include extensive hands-on training with a Master CDL Trainer. The Related Instruction includes self-paced online learning as well.
Graduates from this program will not only be safer drivers, but they will also have the credentials to negotiate for better wages.
This Program Includes:
- 4-Weeks of Related Instruction
Includes hands-on, online course work, and in-person Q&A - 47-Weeks of On-the-Job Training with prevailing wages
- Access to Master CDL Trainer
- Job placement allowing you to earn prevailing wages
Apprentices
We are looking for individuals with their Class A CDL with a desire to become more skilled in their trade, making them a safer driver with the ability to negotiate better wages.
