Monica Gilbert is the Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Fortified Development, LLC a minority and woman-owned certified business, and parent corporation of Fortified Development Trucking. Monica and her partners started the company by faith in October 2019. She drew on her professional experience of implementing health care enterprise systems, standard operating procedures as well as compliance, policies, and government regulations to build the framework of Fortified.

Monica keeps the organization moving forward with FMCSA, Safety and Compliance and Drug and Alcohol Consortium, budget control, and strategic planning. Her friendly, yet no-nonsense attitude is felt by partners, customers and employees as she strives to create win-win situations for all.

Monica has helped numerous owner-operators and small business trucking firms understand the steps to starting a trucking company, getting DOT numbers, setting up safety records, developing onboarding and maintenance programs, and ensuring compliance with Federal and state regulations for over-the-road and hauling operations.
